The Opportunity
We’re seeking a motivated Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to support the General Manager in leading daily operations at our Castle Rock location. This role is critical to driving sales, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring every customer experience reflects the Moore Lumber & Hardware values.
The ASM plays a hands-on leadership role—coaching associates, managing merchandising and inventory, supporting scheduling and payroll, and helping build a safe, efficient, and welcoming store environment.
What You’ll Do

Support daily store operations, sales performance, and profitability

Deliver exceptional customer experiences by modeling Ace Helpful practices

Scheduling, payroll monitoring, and labor planning

Maintain strong merchandising, signage, and in-store presentation standards

Manage inventory accuracy, receiving, transfers, and shrink control

Partner with vendors on merchandising strategies and promotions

Coach, train, and develop store associates across all departments

Enforce safety policies and serve as a role model for safe work practices

Deliver performance feedback, recognition, and associate reviews

Help plan and execute in-store marketing, events, and seasonal initiatives
What We’re Looking For

1+ year of retail management experience with 3+ years of customer service experience

Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills

Ability to analyze sales, inventory, and operational reports

Familiarity with lumber, building materials, and hardware products preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Office; EAGLE experience a plus

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
