Pay Range: $16.50 – $21.00 per hour
The Building Material Coordinator is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while supporting yard and warehouse operations. This role includes loading and unloading building materials, operating equipment such as forklifts, organizing inventory, and preparing orders for customers and deliveries. The coordinator plays a key role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety while maintaining high-quality standards for all materials and processes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
- Skilled at providing prompt, friendly, and attentive customer service.
- Ability to safely operate equipment such as forklifts (or willingness to learn).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately read and write product codes, SKUs, and order details.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions related to lumber measurements.
- Ability to build, load, and audit orders for accuracy and safety.
- Willing to learn all areas of the facility and assist with cross-training others.
- Ability to support inventory control processes, including cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Proven track record of being a team player.
- A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
- Availability must be flexible including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Aptitude for industry technology and software.
Physical Requirements
The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties.
- Ability to lift up to 97.5 pounds and handle materials in a repetitive motion.
- Ability to work on uneven or slippery surfaces and carry awkward objects alone or with assistance.
- Ability to work on elevated platforms, ladders, and climb on/off equipment such as forklifts and delivery trucks.
