Pay Range: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour

The Retail Paint Consultant is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by engaging with customers, identifying their needs, and providing expert guidance on paint products and solutions to ensure their success. This role plays a key part in supporting both retail and professional customers through accurate product recommendations, color matching, and order fulfillment, while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Cashier experience in a similar position or proficiency in a similar task.
• Ability to use a cash register (point of sale or POS system), computer, telephone, and other equipment as needed.
• Ability to distinguish between colors for paint matching and tinting (with or without reasonable accommodation).
• Skilled at providing prompt, friendly, and attentive customer service.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to mix and tint paint accurately to customer specifications.
• Willing to learn all areas of the facility and assist with cross-training.
• Knowledge of paint products and applications is strongly desired.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and refunds.
• Proven track record of being a team player.
• A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
• Availability must be flexible including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Aptitude for industry technology and software.

Physical Requirements

The minimum physical requirements for this position include:

• Ability to stand for an extended period of time, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties.
• Ability to move and handle merchandise up to 97.5 pounds.
• Ability to work on elevated platforms and ladders as needed.
