Pay Range: $25.00 – $29.00 per hour

The Small Engine Repair Technician is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines and outdoor power equipment. This role ensures customers receive reliable, timely service and expert guidance to keep their equipment operating at peak performance. The technician plays a key role in supporting store operations by maintaining accurate service records, communicating clearly with customers, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience with small engine repair (certification preferred but not required).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
- Ability to diagnose and repair two- and four-stroke engines.
- Skilled in performing maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tune-ups, and part replacements.
- Ability to maintain accurate service records and provide repair estimates.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
- Proven track record of being a team player.
- A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
- Availability must be flexible including varying shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements
The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties.
- Ability to lift up to 97.5 pounds and handle equipment in a repetitive motion.
- Ability to work on uneven or slippery surfaces and handle awkward objects alone or with assistance.
